Senior Infants News

This week in senior infants, the class completed their Autumn aistear stations. Everyone took home their conker and have the job of minding the conker by helping it to grown by giving it water and sunshine. We learnt two Autumn songs: “Autumn Leaves” and “Acorn Tree”.

We are almost halfway through the class novel; ‘The B.F.G’ by Roald Dahl. We are listening to all the amazing dreams that the B.F.G has in all his dream jars in the cave. Some of the dreams are making us laugh out loud! We also spoke about nice dreams that we might of had or dreams we would love to have. We shared them in class and wow the imagination in senior infants is amazing!! We filled in our own happy dreams into our very own dream jars and shared our dreams with the class.

Also this week, the boys and girls did their first piece of ‘Our News’ into their copies. We focused on our cursive writing formation and looked at the importance of the full stop, finger spacing and keep our letters sitting on the line.

Take a look at senior infants at work below.

Well done senior infants!!!
