We had a fantastic opportunity in sixth class this week, to take part in an engineering workshop to learn about gears.
It was easily the most fun we have ever had in a workshop in our school and we loved how easy it was to understand the instructions and the theory behind the task.
We were asked to build a lego car with a mini-motor and investigate how we can make it travel uphill more effectively by changing the size of the wheels, the gears, the load etc. The task made us understand exactly how the gears on our bikes work and we go to play with lego!
