Broken Hearts in 6th

Dissecting a sheep’s heart
This week in science we dissected a sheep’s heart. First we learned about the heart and all the parts in it, we also learned how it works and that the veins bring in blood to the heart and arteries bring the blood out. Some of the parts are the aorta, vena cava, the right pulmonary vein, the left pulmonary artery, the right and left atrium and the right and left ventricle. Then on Friday Bobby brought in a sheep’s heart and we got to dissect it and look at all the different parts of the heart and saw were the blood goes in and out. It was very gross but very interesting at the same time. Some people didn’t want to see this so they left the room. Thanks for reading.
