Money in Aistear

Autumn in Senior Infants

We are enjoying learning about autumn in Senior Infants. We are planting acorns and conkers, we are writing autumn words to match our pictures, we are sorting leaves and making leaf rubbings and we are making a crepe paper autumn tree. We’re also learning a lovely autumn poem with rhyming words. ‘Swirling, twirling, autumn leaves’.

Autumn Walk on the Curragh

    The two Senior Infant classes enjoyed a walk to the Curragh last Thursday as part of Aistear, learning about autumn and trees. We brought our leaf identifiers and found a sycamore, a hawthorn, an oak, a chestnut and a beech tree. The children enjoyed collecting leaves, fruit and berries from the area.
