Christmas Crib in Droichead Nua

As you may have read in Newbridge Parish News & Views magazine, a small committee has been formed to revive the tradition of having a Christmas crib at the Town Hall.

This is happening with the cooperation of Newbridge Christmas Lights Committee. The lights will be switched on at 4.30/5.00 p.m. on Sunday 2 December after which the crib will be unveiled and blessed.

Each Primary School in the area is requested to invite pupils to contribute a written story of the first Christmas/artwork/drawings/birthday cards/stars or any other appropriate way of illustrating the meaning of Christmas to them. Any such items can be enclosed in a folder which will be displayed at the crib.

Should you agree to take part in this project, the materials will be collected from the school on Thursday 29 November.
