We are delighted to have as our keynote speaker   Dr. Peter Vermeulen is an educationalist who has worked for many years with people with autism and their families, from Belgium, author of Autistic Thinking, I am Special & Autism as Context Blindness.

 

We will also be welcoming Joanne Douglas a Consultant Psychologist, specialising in Autism Spectrum Conditions and related social and communication difficulties.  Jo set up a specialist diagnostic, intervention and research Centre which is based in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.

Also, presenting a parent of school going children on the Spectrum, who will share her experience of supporting her children as they journey through our education system.

 

Our conference focuses on everyday issues faced by parents and educators of children and young adults on the Spectrum and offers ideas and strategies to take home

 

The day will provide opportunities to hear international expert speakers share their knowledge and understanding of how to recognize and manage issues such as stress, anxiety and demand avoidance, supporting, mentoring & coaching
