Book Week in Senior Infants

Hi everyone!

Book week was a great success and senior infants made a great effort to work on their reading in class. We read different stories on the interactive whiteboard, listened to stories online and also had story time with three parents who kindly offered their time to come and read to the class. Senior infants thoroughly enjoyed listening to the parents read to them.

Senior infants made a visit to the school library this week and we also finished our recent class novel “George’s Marvelous Medicine” by Roald Dahl. The class really enjoyed the ending of the novel in particular.

Other whole school activities that senior infants took part in was creating a school story. The story started in junior infants and each class carried on the story by adding more information to it. Our school story was about a frog named Fred who got up to mischief.

We also took part in D.E.A.R time after lunchtime.

Such a busy week for senior infants with lots of focus on reading!

Well done senior infants and keep up the great reading!
