Summer in Junior Infants

This week in junior infants we looked at our final season of our junior infant study of the seasons. In Aistear we wrote postcards, sorted pictures to the correct season, played a day at the beach in role play and painted summer pictures.

In phonics we have been writing very impressive sentences independently. Our dictation copies are highly impressive and we can’t wait to bring them home to show people at home all of our hard work.

In Gaeilge we have started writing sentences too such as ‘Téigh go dtí an siopa agus ceannaigh___” (Go to the shop and buy ____).

In maths we have been looking at maths sentences and identifying if the sum is addition or subtraction and we have been writing in the correct symbol. Kim and Clara thought it would be a very tricky challenge for us but we are doing super and can’t wait to do more next week.

We loved going to the whole school assembly on Thursday and can’t wait for our chance to perform in a few weeks.

We are really looking forward to our school tour on Friday.

Pictures to follow.
