Autumn Continued in Junior Infants

What a wonderful week  learning and exploring in junior infants. We took another trip to the school forest on Monday to explore the woodland area and the leaves of red, yellow and brown. We painted our own tree pictures and used our fingers to paint the leaves in different colours. We were so excited to paint our hedgehogs and make owl bags.

In maths Clara’s class talked about long and short, we also focused on making the number one with mala and markers. Kim’s class had so much fun playing numicon with Mary, Tom and Michael.

Both classes looked at the sound ‘n’ and we can now read words like pan, pin, tin and sin. We can’t wait to show our families our wonderful reading at home next week.

In Gaeilge we continued learning about an scoil.
