A Look back at Spring in Senior Infants

Spring was such a busy time this year and with the mixed weather it made for a very interesting Spring indeed!

During the Spring months, senior infants got up to a lot of fun activities including planting seeds, going on a Spring walk about to investigate signs of Spring and learning all about watching the puppet show; “Little Red Riding Hood”.

Senior infants also took part in some Active week stations with Michael’s 4th class who kindly showed senior infants some really fun activities.

In Aistear, senior infants looked at the life cycle of a frog. The boys and girls made fold-able charts and wrote lovely pieces on Spring. They have made big progress with their handwriting and started forming some of their own sentences.

Spring was slow to show itself this year with the snow but we got out eventually to spot signs of Spring. We found birds nests high up in the trees, daffodils and the gorgeous sunshine also made an appearance too!

Seachtain na Gaeilge was a great success. Lots of boys and girls spoke Gaeilge not only in the classroom, but also out on yard to both their peers and teachers.

We also had 2 dress up days; Denim Day and Green Day for Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Take a look at all the photos from February and March.
